COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 with BIOCLEAN® II combines solar control, thermal insulation and a low-maintenance3 self-cleaning coating in a single glazing solution. Designed for roof glazing applications, it helps reduce overheating while maintaining high levels of natural daylight and providing thermal insulation in colder weather.
With a g-value of 32% and light transmission of 68%, COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 with BIOCLEAN® II helps create bright, comfortable interior spaces by reducing solar heat gain while maximising natural daylight. It also supports thermal comfort during colder weather and has a centre pane U-value of 1.0 W/m²K.4
It is particularly suited to rooflights, skylights and glazed atriums, where effective solar control is essential for occupant comfort and the low-maintenance benefits of BIOCLEAN® II is desirable due to the challenging nature of accessing and cleaning these applications.
The integrated BIOCLEAN® II coating uses daylight to help break down organic dirt on the external glass surface and rain water to then wash it away, reducing maintenance requirements over time.
For the self-cleaning2 coating to perform effectively, the glazing should be installed in a location exposed to light and at a sufficient angle to allow rainwater to run freely across the glass surface and carry away loosened dirt.
- Higher-performance, coated, flat glass, achieves an emissivity level of 3% or less. Saint-Gobain Glass’ PLANITHERM® and COOL-LITE® products are higher-performing than uncoated, flat glass substrates, based on emissivity level.
- When independently tested in accordance with EN 1096-5. The coating has been tested in accordance with EN 1096-5, which assesses the durability and performance of coated glass under simulated environmental exposure conditions
- Glass with the self-cleaning coating “BiocleanII” is lower maintenance compared with standard glass with no coating.
