The trend for increased levels of natural daylight in buildings, and more neutral-looking, clear glass for extra clarity can be met with PLANICLEAR®
It is a clear float glass with a lower iron content* which reduces the level of green colouring so that the appearance is clearer and more neutral. This difference is particularly noticeable when viewing the edge of the glass.
The lower iron content of PLANICLEAR® float glass reduces the level of heat absorption, thereby increasing the level of solar gain (g-value). Increased passive solar heat gain can increase the overall energy balance of a window and lead to a positive impact on Window Energy Ratings.
PLANICLEAR® also allows higher levels of light to transmit into a room, increasing the amount of natural daylight and reducing the need for artificial lighting. This can create a more comfortable environment and help to reduce energy costs.
