Glassolutions Manager is G24 Rising Star Finalist

Cara Shepherd, Branch Manager of Glassolutions in Aberdeen, is a finalist in the Rising Star category at this year’s G24 awards.

The G Awards celebrate the best in the UK glass and glazing industry, and the Rising Star Award recognises an emerging leader whose record reflects ongoing and exceptional growth, increased levels of leadership, responsibility, and sphere of impact.

Cara was put forward by Glassolutions’ Operations Director, Dave Evans, who commended her exceptional talent and drive for excellence. He said: “Cara’s dedication shone through when she took over additional responsibilities during a six-month absence of a Branch Manager, ensuring smooth operations and stability. Under her leadership, the Aberdeen branch has emerged as one of the top performers within the group.”

Cara started as an Office Administrator in 2005 and despite being new to the glass and glazing industry, she quickly set herself apart as a future leader, being promoted to Customer Service Administrator after demonstrating her ability to master complex systems and build robust relationships with key accounts.

Dave added: “I have had the privilege of witnessing Cara’s exceptional dedication to our customers and her unwavering commitment to excellence. Her good character shines through in everything she does. She leads by example, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where every team member feels valued and empowered. Her integrity, honesty, and kindness make her a respected and admired leader within our organisation. It is an honour to work alongside Cara, and I am confident that her contributions will continue to drive our success and set new standards in the industry.”

Glassolutions’ network of branches provides customers with a wide range of glass products and services, with everything from cut-to-size glass, toughened and laminated glass, through to insulated glass units (IGUs) and the supply of specialist products which offer enhanced acoustic, aesthetic and solar control properties.

G24 is the 20th anniversary of The G Awards, and the winners will be announced on Friday 29 November. The ceremony will be held at the prestigious London Hilton on Park Lane.
